4 Bubble Games to Watch Today

The SEC dominates this discussion today because, well, the SEC is filled with mediocre to good teams, that may be just solid enough to get an NCAA Tournament bid. Today's action will go a long way towards determining some of those potential bids.

Texas A&M at South Carolina, 12PM, Columbia, SC, SECN
A&M is in my "last four in" as I write this, so pretty much all games versus teams having a worse season than them are must-wins. South Carolina and Francisco Martín, fall in that category, though they have been a tough out of late, coming off a win at Georgia.

Pittsburgh at Syracuse,12PM, Syracuse, NY, ESPN3
Who said Syracuse had no chance at a bid and that the school's self-imposed tourney ban was a joke? The Cuse would probably be in the mix right now, but instead they will try to play the role of spoiler today to a Pittsburgh team with an outside chance at a berth. Pitt, in my "next four out," needs this win, but the Cuse is coming off an upset win over Louisville after a close loss to Duke.

Florida at LSU, 1PM, Baton Rouge, LA, CBS
This is a battle of two bubble teams, though LSU is more in the bubble than the Gators. The Tigers are hanging on to an 11 seed at the moment, while the Gators are in the next four out category. Neither seems to particularly want a bid, as Florida has lost 4 of 5, while LSU has lost two straight.

Georgia at Alabama, 8PM, Tuscaloosa, AL, ESPNU
It was all good just a week ago for Georgia, or sort of. They seemed to be headed towards the big dance, but then the Bulldogs lost back to back home games to South Carolina and Auburn. Bama is a bit off the grid, but are surely capable of sending Georgia even further down in the doldrums.
